Boston Harborwalk

This public walkway and bike path follows the shoreline of Boston Harbor, providing a nice spot for parks, public art exhibits, cafés and more.

Visit the Rowes Wharf station along Boston’s waterfront near the Boston Harbor Hotel to snag a bike.

  • Follow the path south along the wharf and take a left at South station on Congress Street.
  • Cross the bridge where the Boston Tea Party Tall Ships and Museum can be found.
  • On the other side of the bridge, the Harborwalk continues to your left next to the Boston Children’s Museum and over to Fan Pier Park, which curves along the Seaport to the Wharf and amazing views all the way around to the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA).
  • End your ride at one of the Bluebikes stations at Fan Pier, Seaport Square, or the Seaport Hotel.

From there, you can check out the inside of the ICA, or hop aboard a Boston Harbor cruise with drinks and live music. Or catch a show from national acts at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion.

If you're looking for a longer ride, keep following the Harborwalk to the southeast all the way to the Harpoon Brewery & Beer Hall near Bluebikes' Congress St and Northern Ave station.
