Blue Cross “Mindful Mondays” Start August 9
To recognize National Wellness Month, Blue Cross is offering complimentary Bluebikes trips on “Mindful Mondays” through the month of August. Starting Monday, August 9, Metro Boston residents can access free rides across the system by downloading and opening the Bluebikes app on a mobile device and selecting “Adventure Pass.”
There is a new code for each Monday, so riders can take advantage of some quiet time on a bike, free of charge, every week in August from any of station across the system’s 11 municipalities:

- August 23: BlueCrossMindful0823
- August 30: BlueCrossMindful0830
Ride a Bike to Practice Mindfulness
Mindfulness techniques can help reduce anxiety and burnout; a recent study showed a 60% decrease in anxiety among participants within a month of using a mindfulness training app developed by Brown University. And exercise – including biking – can have a significant impact on both mental and physical health.
The past year has been hard on everyone as we continue to bear the impact of the pandemic, and National Wellness Month is a great time to practice mindfulness, take out a bike, and reduce anxiety and burnout. Blue Cross is committed to supporting health and wellness in communities across Metro Boston and encourages riders to get outside and take a ride on Bluebikes each Monday this month.
