Bluebikes is offering a program to give hospital workers free 30-day bikeshare memberships. Through May 31st, eligible hospital workers can sign up through their employer to access unlimited 45-minute trips on our bikes for 30 days. If you are a healthcare worker, and want to participate in the program find your hospital’s information here.
For users who enrolled before May 1st, we’re automatically extending their memberships by 30 days to ensure Bluebikes will continue to be a free transit option during this period.
How to enroll
EMPLOYER: Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request for your organization to participate in the free 30-day membership employee offer and we will work with you to set up the program and provide all relevant details for employees to get started.
- Look for the contact person at your hospital on the City of Boston's website and email them from your hospital account.
- Wait for their response with your program code and registration page.
- Once you have received the program code and link from your employer, enter the code to claim your membership.
The free 30-day membership is effective starting on your signup date. At the end of the 30-day period, it does not auto-renew and there is no obligation to continue the membership.

FEES: All participants will be asked to enter their credit card information for any fees that may accrue.
This program provides free unlimited 45 minute rides and there’s no obligation to continue riding after the 30 days
Usage Fee: Membership includes unlimited 45-minute rides. If you keep a bike longer than 45 minutes, it’s an extra $2.50 for the next 30 minutes.
Lost bike charge: If you have kept a bike for more than 24 consecutive hours, it is considered lost or stolen and there is a fee of $1,200 (plus tax). This can also happen if you did not dock your bike properly, your ride stayed open, and someone else took the bike and has not returned it.
