May is Bike Month — celebrate with Bluebikes! From a Free Ride Day, weekly station pop-ups, to the Corporate Challenge, learn how you can celebrate and get involved in Bike Month.

Spring is here. Warmer temperatures and the end to winter is in sight. Even better? Some of your favorite Bluebikes stations will be returning to the streets of Metro Boston. Starting Friday, March 22nd, stations will be redeployed from hibernation.

Good news out of Hubway HQ! After Hubway's most expansive winter riding season to date, "hibernating" stations in Boston & Somerville are coming back starting the week of April 2nd. The upcoming schedule of deployments is still being finalized, so please check back here for specific station updates to see when your favorite stations are returning.

The Boston Area’s Popular Bike Share System’s New Annual Ridership Record Shatters Last Year’s Record By More Than Ten Percent. The Hubway program regularly serves upwards of 150,000 trips per month.

The 2016-2017 winter season will be the most expansive winter operations Hubway has ever had, which means more stations and bikes will be available than any winter before. Over 145 stations will remain in operation through at least December 31, with all the stations in Cambridge continuing to operate year-round.

Hubway’s first trip was taken on July 28, 2011. From 61 stations and 610 bikes then, to 160+ stations and 1,600 bikes today, you’ve impressed us with your passion for bike share and your 4.5 million rides throughout Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, and Somerville.

With our new Card-as-Key functionality, you can use the credit or debit card associated with your membership to check out a bike at any station. Simply go to any Hubway kiosk and insert the credit card associated with your account to get a one-time-use ride code.
